Interactive Demo: A Data-Free Thermal Surrogate, Evaluated in Your Browser
The model below is a data-free surrogate for transient heat conduction. It was produced by a single separated solve — not by running a sweep of simulations and fitting a network to the results. There is no training set, because there is no training.
The part is an imported CAD plate — roughly 265 × 245 × 42 mm, meshed into 172,000 tetrahedra across 272 distinct faces — sitting at 20 °C when the clock starts. A heat flux switches on across one face at t = 0 and the transient runs for 1,000 s.
Three things are yours to set, and none of them was solved for separately: how hard the flux drives, how well the material conducts, and how much heat it takes to raise it. Conductivity and heat capacity pull in opposite directions — one spreads the load out, the other resists the rise — and the balance between them decides both how far the plate gets by 1,000 s and how quickly it gets there. That whole trade lives in one solve, not in a family of them.
Move the sliders, then run the transient: set the time step and the frame rate and press play. Every frame you see is computed from scratch, in this page, in about a millisecond. Nothing is precomputed and nothing is fetched from a server as you drag.
